Denim Belts

A set of 10 belts. They were all made using discarded denim parts from jeans.   The structure and memory of worn fabric was interesting to me. It was also interesting how each buckle retained traces of the original folds and textures of used jeans, preserving them in a new, more enduring, metal form.
The buckles were formed through a double sand mold process — a method improvised, adjusted, and invented for this specific shape.
