Ceramic Instrument - “The Signal”

         This ceramic can speak. Its voice is low, hollow and resonant. It signals that something is happening here, now, and that this moment asks to be noticed. The message is about presence. 

         It resembles a sound ancient communities used when the goal was to gather people together. The breath of the signaler is turned into an attempt to reach outward, to communicate across spaces that sound can cross.
